Description
xThe Yoshimura Low-Volume Sound Insert is a 1.50-inch quiet insert for Yoshimura RS-4T mufflers, reducing exhaust noise so the same system can run at sound-restricted tracks and events.
Note the canister: this insert is for the RS-4T, not the standard RS-4. The two share an outlet size but are different mufflers, and Yoshimura lists separate inserts for each — fitting the wrong one either will not seat correctly or will not give the rated reduction.
This is a sound insert, not a spark arrester. It lowers the measured dB reading for sound-tested events but does not satisfy US Forest Service or BLM requirements, which need an approved arrester instead.
