xThe Yoshimura RS-4 Full Exhaust System is a complete header-and-muffler replacement built with a stainless steel header, an aluminum canister and a carbon fiber end cap.
The stock header on most off-road four-strokes is mild steel, and it is heavy — heavier than the muffler bolted to the end of it. Replacing the whole system in stainless is where the meaningful weight comes off, and on a bike that gets picked up off the ground several times a weekend that is not an abstract benefit.
The RS-4 canister is aluminum, light, and repackable, so the system is built to be serviced through a season rather than replaced at the end of one.
