Yoshimura Spark Arrester Kit SA-06-K | Yoshimura RS-2 Muffler 1.625-Inch | USFS Approved

The Yoshimura Spark Arrester Kit SA-06-K is a USFS-approved 1.625-inch spark arrester insert for Yoshimura RS-2 mufflers, supplied complete with the spark arrester insert, end-cap collar and set screw, allowing an RS-2 exhaust that did not ship with a spark arrester to be made legal for riding on US Forest Service managed land.

Most public off-road riding areas in the United States — national forests, BLM land and the majority of organized OHV areas — require an approved spark arrester, and enforcement is routine at staging areas. A slip-on or full system sold as a closed-course part typically ships without one, which makes this insert the difference between a legal trail bike and a citation.

The kit installs into the muffler outlet and is retained by the supplied collar and set screw, so it can be removed for closed-course use and refitted for trail riding without disassembling the muffler. Check your outlet size before ordering: this kit is the 1.625-inch version for the RS-2.
