xThe Yoshimura Spark Arrester Insert is a USFS-approved 1.50-inch replacement arrester for Yoshimura RS-2 mufflers, restoring spark arrester capability to a system whose original insert has clogged, corroded or gone missing.
An approved spark arrester is required in effectively every public off-road riding area in the United States, and it is checked at the gate. Arresters are also consumable — the fine mesh gradually loads with carbon until flow drops noticeably, and a clogged arrester will cost real power long before it fails an inspection.
This is the replacement insert on its own rather than a full kit, so it suits a muffler that already has a serviceable end-cap collar and set screw. Check the size against your existing insert before ordering.
