Description
xThe Yoshimura Premium Muffler Repack Kit is the replacement packing material for R-77M mufflers, supplied cut and shaped for the canister rather than as bulk material.
Packing is the part of an exhaust nobody thinks about until the bike is noticeably louder than it used to be. It burns away from the inside over time, and the change is gradual enough to go unnoticed until the note has turned harsh and the canister drones at a steady throttle. A repack restores the original sound and the noise output the muffler was built to meet.
It is also cheap insurance for the canister. With the packing gone, the perforated core absorbs the full heat and pulse of the exhaust, and replacing a core costs many times what a repack does.
- Premium replacement packing for Yoshimura R-77M mufflers
- Pre-cut and shaped for the canister — no measuring or trimming
- Restores original sound character and noise output
- Protects the perforated core from heat damage
- Yoshimura part number 960-9975
Fits Yoshimura R-77M mufflers. The R-77 and R-77M take different kits — confirm which canister you have before ordering, as packing is cut to specific dimensions and is not interchangeable.
