The Yoshimura RS-9 Street Slip-On Exhaust is a bolt-on muffler built around a parallelogram-shaped aluminum canister with a stainless steel end cap, mounting to the stock header.

The RS-9 was developed with AMA Pro riders around three goals: mass centralization, maximum performance and rider usability. Its parallelogram muffler body increases internal volume over the stock system, which produces better throttle response and improved noise cancellation at the same time — the combination Yoshimura's race programme actually cares about.

The canister uses Yoshimura's Tunable Insert System, which lets power delivery and decibel level be adjusted to the rider's requirements rather than fixed at manufacture. That is genuinely useful for anyone moving between sound-restricted and open events.
