Yoshimura R-77 Stainless Slip-On Exhaust with Stainless Muffler | Honda CBR500R 2016-2021

The Yoshimura R-77 Stainless Slip-On Exhaust is a bolt-on muffler for the 2016-2021 Honda CBR500R, built with a trapezoidal 304-L stainless steel canister, a carbon fiber end cap and a straight single-core baffle with a removable low-volume insert.

The R-77 is the trapezoidal profile Yoshimura runs on its race bikes, and it works on a 500 twin for the same reason it works on a litre bike: the flat-sided sleeve packs far more sound-absorbing material around the core than a round canister of equivalent size, so the baffle can flow straight through without the exhaust becoming intolerable on the road.

On the CBR500R the factory muffler is a large catalysed unit sized for emissions rather than the bike's proportions. Replacing it takes meaningful weight off the tail and gives the parallel twin a voice it does not have from the factory.
