Yoshimura R-77 Stainless Slip-On Exhaust with Carbon Fiber Muffler | Honda CBR500R 2016-2021

The Yoshimura R-77 Slip-On Exhaust is a bolt-on muffler for the 2016-2021 Honda CBR500R, built with a trapezoidal carbon fiber canister, a carbon fiber end cap and a straight single-core baffle with a removable low-volume insert.

This is the carbon-sleeved version, and on a light bike like the CBR500R the weight saving is proportionally significant. The muffler sits high and far back — the worst place on any motorcycle to carry mass — so taking weight out there improves how quickly the bike changes direction as well as what it weighs.

The trapezoidal R-77 profile is what makes the design work: the flat-sided sleeve packs far more sound-absorbing material around the core than a round canister of equivalent size, allowing the straight-through baffle to flow properly while keeping the exhaust usable on the road.
