The Yoshimura RS-2 Race Stainless Slip-On Exhaust is a bolt-on muffler for the 2009-2020 Kawasaki KLX250S and KLX250SF and the 2021-2024 KLX300S and KLX300SM, featuring a stainless steel mid-pipe, a diamond-shape aluminum RS-2 muffler, a straight core baffle and a built-in O2 sensor bung, delivering 8% more horsepower and 9% more torque while cutting 2.8 pounds.

An 8 and 9 percent gain is a large return on a slip-on, and it happens because the KLX's stock muffler is heavily restricted rather than because the RS-2 is exotic. The diamond canister section adds durability where a dual sport muffler takes hits from rocks and tip-overs, and its maximized packing volume keeps sound in check while the straight baffle flows.

The integrated O2 sensor bung is the detail that makes this a clean install on the fuel-injected KLX: the factory sensor relocates without an adapter, so the bike keeps its closed-loop fuelling instead of throwing a fault. The muffler is spark arrester and sound insert compatible for public-land riding.
