The Yoshimura RS-2 Race Stainless Full Exhaust System is a complete header-back exhaust built around a stainless steel header, a diamond-shape carbon fiber RS-2 muffler with a stainless end cap, and a straight single-core baffle, and it accepts both spark arresters and low-volume sound inserts.

The RS-2 was engineered to add usable power across the entire rev range rather than trading bottom end for a peak number. The pyramidal canister section is the reason: it increases structural durability where an off-road muffler takes hits, and it allows a greater packing volume than a round canister of the same footprint, which lowers sound levels without choking flow.

This system comes directly out of Yoshimura's factory race program, where the same development work targets three things at once — more performance, lower sound, and mass centralized closer to the middle of the machine. Spark arrester and sound insert compatibility means one system can cover both closed-course and public-land riding, provided the correct insert is fitted.
