The Yoshimura RS-4 Race Slip-On Exhaust is a bolt-on muffler built around a pentagonal stainless steel canister with a carbon fiber end cap, mounting to the stock header.

The RS-4 is the canister that carried Yoshimura's off-road programme for years, and the engineering that defines it is the poly-resonant duplex front chamber. Working with a stepped two-stage core baffle, it lowers the sound level while adding power through the mid range and top end — the opposite of the usual trade where noise is the price of performance.

The pentagonal muffler shape maximizes internal volume in the space available beside the subframe, and the canister accepts both spark arresters and sound inserts.
