The Yoshimura RS-12 ADV Street Slip-On is a bolt-on muffler built around Yoshimura's RS-12 canister — a stainless steel body with a stainless outer sleeve and a carbon fiber end cap — in the ADV configuration developed for adventure and dual-sport machines.

Adventure bikes carry a lot of hardware, and the factory catalysed muffler is usually the heaviest single piece hung off the rear of the bike. Replacing it with the RS-12 ADV takes weight off the tail, frees up space around the pannier mounts, and gives the engine a voice it does not have from the showroom floor.

The RS-12 is Yoshimura's current-generation canister, shorter and more compact than the RS-4 and RS-9 that preceded it. The ADV version uses that same core in a shape suited to bikes that carry luggage and see gravel as often as tarmac.
