The Arai Corsair-X Nakagami-4 is a Snell 2020 and DOT certified full-face motorcycle helmet built on Arai's PB-SNC2 shell with the VAS Variable Axis System shield, cut for an intermediate oval head shape and available in sizes XS through 2XL.

Check the head shape before the size. The Corsair-X is an intermediate oval helmet — it suits a head slightly longer front-to-back than side-to-side, the most common shape among riders. If yours is rounder, the Quantum-X is the model Arai builds for you; if it is long and narrow, that is the Signet-X. A helmet in the correct size but the wrong shape creates pressure points that no amount of padding adjustment will fix.

The Nakagami-4 carries the graphics run by Takaaki Nakagami, Japan's long-serving MotoGP rider, and it is the fourth in his replica series. Under the paint sits Arai's flagship road-race helmet: the PB-SNC2 shell is built from Super Fiber and synthetic fibres originally developed for Formula 1 visor panels, and the VAS shield system lowers the pivot point around 24 mm so the temple area — the part of the shell most likely to catch in a slide — stays smooth and sheds impact energy rather than absorbing it.
