The Arai Contour-X Jolly Roger is a Snell M2025 and DOT certified full-face motorcycle helmet built on Arai's PB e-cLc shell with the VAS MAX Vision shield and Pinlock insert, weighing approximately 3.34 lb and cut for an intermediate oval head shape, in sizes XS through 2XL.

Head shape before size. The Contour-X is an intermediate oval helmet — for a head slightly longer front-to-back than side-to-side, the most common shape. If yours is rounder, the Quantum-X is Arai's round oval model; if it is long and narrow, the Signet-X. Getting the shape right matters more than getting the size right, because no size will fix the wrong shape.

The Contour-X is the light one. At around 3.34 lb it is noticeably lighter than the Corsair-X, thanks to the PB e-cLc shell — Arai replaced the old AR-mat middle layer with new proprietary materials specifically to cut weight. On a long day that difference is felt in the neck rather than on a spec sheet, which makes the Contour-X the choice for riders covering distance rather than lap times.

It also carries 13 ventilation ports and the VAS system's variable pivot point, which lets the shield open and close even from lower positions and includes a de-mist setting.
