The Akrapovič Slip-On Line muffler S-Y6SO10-AHBT is a titanium slip-on exhaust for the 2017-2020 Yamaha YZF-R6 and 2017-2018 YZF-R6S, built for race-oriented riders and delivering a boost in performance with a noticeable weight reduction over the stock silencer.

Check the year — this is for the 2017-2020 R6 only. Yamaha revised the R6 substantially for 2017 with new bodywork, a new front end and a revised exhaust, and Akrapovič builds a different muffler for the 2006-2016 bike. This part will not fit the earlier generation. Yamaha also withdrew the R6 from street sale after 2020, continuing it only as the track-only R6 RACE, so 2020 is the last road model year this covers.

The R6 is the most track-focused 600 on the market and the stock silencer is the component least suited to that purpose — a large, heavy assembly whose only job is meeting street noise limits. The titanium Akrapovič replacement removes meaningful weight from high and far back on a motorcycle whose entire design brief is rapid direction changes, and it lets the famously high-revving inline four be heard properly at the top of its range.
