Description
xThe Akrapovic Optional Headers are a titanium header set for the 2020-2025 BMW S1000XR and M1000XR — the part that converts an Akrapovič slip-on into a complete system.
The XR takes the S1000RR's inline four and puts it in a tall, long-travel chassis, which makes it one of the fastest things you can ride with luggage on. What it also inherits is a heavy Euro 5 exhaust with the catalyst buried in the headers, out of reach of any muffler change.
Replacing the headers in titanium is where the meaningful weight comes off, and it is the only way to remove the restriction upstream of the can. Bought alongside a slip-on, it lets you build to a full system in two stages rather than one payment.

Fits the 2020-2025 BMW S1000XR and M1000XR. This is a header set only — it is not a complete exhaust system and requires a compatible Akrapovič muffler.
An ECU remap is recommended. Removing the stock catalyst on a machine with lambda sensors will otherwise trigger a check engine light, and remapping also gives correct fuelling and throttle response.
