Description
xThe Akrapovic Racing Line GP is a complete stainless steel exhaust system for the 2022-2025 Yamaha YZF-R7.
The R7 is built on the CP2 parallel twin from the MT-07 — an engine chosen for torque and character rather than peak power, and one that responds unusually well to being allowed to breathe. Yamaha's Euro 5 system on this bike is large, heavy and slung low, and the catalyst sits in the mid-section where a slip-on cannot reach it.
The GP layout is Akrapovič's short, high-flow race configuration. On a bike that many owners buy specifically for trackdays, it is the version that matches how the machine gets used.
Stainless rather than titanium is the sensible choice at this displacement: the absolute weight saving from titanium is smaller on a middleweight, and stainless keeps the system durable and the price proportionate to the bike.
