The Akrapovič Slip-On Line muffler S-Y2SO16-HAPC/1 is a carbon-fibre slip-on exhaust for the 2015-2021 Yamaha YZF-R3 and 2020-2021 Yamaha MT-03, replacing the heavy factory silencer with an Akrapovič carbon canister that bolts to the stock header.

Check your model year — we stock three generations of R3 slip-on. This is the part for the 2015-2021 R3. Yamaha revised the R3 for 2022, and Akrapovič builds a different muffler for the newer bike, which we also stock. There is an earlier Akrapovič muffler specific to the 2015-2016 R3 as well. The three are not interchangeable, so match the year before ordering.

The R3 and MT-03 are light machines carrying a disproportionately heavy factory silencer, sized by Yamaha to meet noise regulations rather than to suit the bike. On a motorcycle in this class the carbon replacement is one of the few modifications that changes weight, appearance and sound all at once, and it does so without touching the ECU or the fuelling.
