The Akrapovič Slip-On Line muffler S-Y2SO12-HAPC is a carbon-fibre slip-on exhaust for the 2015-2016 Yamaha YZF-R3, replacing the heavy factory silencer with an Akrapovič carbon canister that bolts to the stock header.

Check your model year — we stock three Akrapovič slip-ons for the R3. This one is specific to the 2015-2016 bike. There is a second part covering the 2015-2021 R3 and MT-03, and a third for the 2022-onward machine. If you own a 2015 or 2016 R3, either this or the 2015-2021 part will fit; for any later bike you need one of the others.

The R3 launched as one of the best small sportbikes on the market and, like every bike in its class, carried a silencer sized for noise compliance rather than for the machine. On a 321 cc motorcycle the carbon replacement takes off a genuinely significant share of total weight, from the worst place to carry it, and it changes how the bike looks from the side more than any other single part you can bolt on.
