The Akrapovič V-TUV148 is an optional noise damper for Akrapovič Slip-On mufflers, a removable insert that lowers the exhaust's sound level when a quieter system is needed.

It solves two problems, and it is reversible. Track days test sound at a fixed limit and turn riders away at scrutineering; and a road system that is perfect on a Sunday ride can be antisocial at 6am in a residential street. The damper drops the level for both situations and lifts out again in a couple of minutes, so you are not choosing permanently between a legal bike and the exhaust you paid for.

Order it against your muffler. Akrapovič lists a specific damper for each silencer — inserts are sized to the outlet, and one that does not match either will not seat or will not stay in. Send us the part number stamped on your Akrapovič muffler and we will confirm TUV148 is the right one.
