Akrapovic Muffler Packing Kit for Yamaha YZF-R6 | Restores Sound Level | P-RPCK18

The Akrapovič P-RPCK18 is a muffler packing kit recorded in our supplier data as the repack kit for Yamaha YZF-R6 Akrapovič mufflers, containing replacement sound-absorbing material to restore a silencer whose original packing has burned out.

Repacking is maintenance, and most owners leave it far too late. The absorbent material inside a performance muffler degrades with heat and mileage — it burns, compacts, and eventually blows out through the end cap. The exhaust gets progressively louder and harsher as it goes, which riders routinely mistake for the muffler failing or for an engine problem. Repacking restores the sound to how it was new, and on a track bike it is often what brings a system back under a circuit's noise limit without spending anything else.

Confirm the kit against your muffler. Akrapovič lists a specific repacking kit for each silencer it sells. Send us the part number stamped on your muffler and we will confirm P-RPCK18 is the one specified for it before you order.
