Description
xThe Akrapovic Slip-On Line is a bolt-on muffler for the 2020-2025 BMW F900R and F900XR, with a carbon fibre outer sleeve and a titanium end cap.
A slip-on is the first step in exhaust tuning and the one with the best ratio of cost to result. The stock F900 muffler is a large steel box carrying a catalyst; replacing it is where the easy weight is.
And there is a lot of it here — 3.1 kg saved, which is an unusually large figure for a single slip-on muffler. Akrapovič also measured +1.0 kW and +3.1 Nm, both at 3,500 rpm. That is a low-rpm gain, which on a parallel twin used for commuting and touring is more useful than a peak figure would be.
Importantly for the XR in particular, the muffler is designed to clear BMW's own side cases and centre stand — a genuine consideration on a bike people actually tour on.

Closed-course and off-road use only. This muffler does not meet emissions requirements for street or highway use. Akrapovič builds a road-legal titanium version of this muffler for the same machines if you need one.
