The Akrapovič SM-S6S02T is a GP-style Megaphone muffler for the 2011-2024 Suzuki GSX-R600 and GSX-R750, built entirely from titanium down to the exhaust hanger and 80% lighter than the stock unit, adding 2.8 hp on the GSX-R600 and 5.6 hp on the GSX-R750.

Eighty percent is not a typo, and it is the reason to buy this part. The stock GSX-R silencer is a large, heavy stainless assembly, and the Megaphone replaces it with a MotoGP-derived tapered can made of titanium throughout — including the hanger, which most manufacturers leave in steel. Removing four-fifths of that mass from the highest, most rearward point on the motorcycle is a genuine handling change on a bike whose whole purpose is direction change.

The power figures are unusually specific and worth reading by model, because the two bikes respond differently. The GSX-R600 gains 2.8 hp at 14,000 rpm and 1.3 lb-ft at 8,060 rpm. The GSX-R750 gains 5.6 hp at 13,200 rpm and 2.1 lb-ft at 9,400 rpm — double the horsepower gain of the 600. If you ride the 750, this is the stronger case of the two.
