Description
xThe Akrapovič P-HSD9SO3 is a forged carbon-fibre heat shield for the 2021-2023 Ducati Monster 937 and Monster 821, replacing the standard aluminium shield with a handmade carbon component.
Forged carbon is the detail worth noting. Most carbon parts are woven sheet; forged carbon is compression-moulded from chopped fibre, which gives it the marbled, shattered-looking finish rather than a regular weave. Ducati uses the same material on its own premium components, so it reads as factory-intended on a Monster rather than as an aftermarket addition.
It replaces the stock aluminium heat shield, which is one of the few remaining plain-metal parts in the Monster's exhaust area once an Akrapovič system is fitted. On a bike where the exhaust sits right beside the rider's leg, the shield is functional rather than decorative — this version simply does the job in a lighter and better-looking material.
