The Akrapovič P-HSK4SO5 is a hand-crafted carbon-fibre heat shield for the 2018-2026 Kawasaki Ninja 400, 2024-2026 Ninja 500, 2019-2026 Z400 and 2024-2026 Z500, designed to complement the Akrapovič carbon Slip-On exhaust.

It is not compatible with the titanium Slip-On. That is the single most important thing on this page. Akrapovič makes this bike's slip-on in both carbon and titanium, and this shield only suits the carbon version — a detail that is easy to miss and produces a part that will not sit right. Check which muffler you have or are buying before you order the shield.

One shield covers four models and nine model years, because Kawasaki carried the same exhaust architecture from the Ninja 400 through to the Ninja 500 that replaced it. On these bikes the shield sits fully exposed beside the muffler, so leaving the stock part in place next to a carbon can is the one detail that gives away an otherwise finished installation.
