The Akrapovič Slip-On Line muffler S-H5SO5-HRC is a carbon-fibre slip-on exhaust for the 2024-2026 Honda CB500F, CBR500R and NX500, saving approximately 2 kg over the stock system and adding 0.8 hp and 0.8 Nm, with plug-and-play installation and no ECU remapping required.

This is the current-generation part. Honda updated the 500 twins for 2024 and renamed the CB500X as the NX500 at the same time. This muffler fits the 2024-onward bikes. It does not fit the 2013-2023 CB500F, CBR500R or CB500X — we stock the earlier-generation Akrapovič muffler separately.

Two kilograms is a substantial saving on a motorcycle in this class, and it comes off the worst place on the bike: high, rearward and outboard, where it works hardest against the machine's willingness to change direction. The muffler pairs a carbon-fibre outer sleeve with stainless-steel internals and delivers what Akrapovič describes as a vivid and deep soundtrack in place of the stock system's near-silence. The power gain is modest and honestly stated at 0.8 hp — this is bought for the weight, the look and the sound.
