The Akrapovic Racing Line is a complete exhaust system with a carbon fibre muffler and stainless steel headers for the 2015-2025 Yamaha YZF-R3 and 2020-2025 MT-03.

The weight saving here is the most dramatic of any system in the Akrapovič range, in proportional terms: the stock exhaust weighs 18.1 lb; this one weighs 6 lb. Twelve pounds off a motorcycle that weighs around 375 lb wet is a change you feel immediately, and it comes almost entirely from low and central.

On a 321 cc twin there is no spare power to waste on pushing gas through a catalysed system sized for emissions compliance. This is the single most effective modification available to the platform.

An optional noise reduction insert is included, which matters on a bike frequently used at trackdays with dB limits.

Two installation notes worth reading before you order. On the 2020 MT-03 the stock exhaust tip must be cut for this system to fit. And on Euro 5+ machines with two lambda sensors, removing the stock catalyst will trigger a check engine light once the ECU detects the change — plan for a remap if that matters to you.
