The Akrapovic Racing Line is a complete exhaust system for the 2015-2025 Yamaha YZF-R1 and R1M, with hydroformed stainless steel headers and a hexagonal muffler finished with a carbon fibre outlet cap.

The number that matters: over 40% lighter than the standard exhaust. That is an enormous reduction, and it comes off the highest and furthest-back part of a motorcycle that already carries very little spare weight.

The headers are conical and hydroformed rather than bent from constant-diameter tube — the section changes along the pipe's length to suit the gas flow at each point. It is a more involved way to build a header and it is where the mid-range and top-end gains come from.

Small details give away the intent: the muffler clamp is carbon fibre rather than steel, chosen to be light, compact and able to survive the heat.
