Basic instructions

Basic instructions, 3 Simple Steps to Flash Your Bike

01. 

Locate the OBD Port: Plug the Genius device directly into your motorcycle’s diagnostic (OBD) port.

Turn Ignition ON: Follow the prompts on the device screen.

Read the ECU: Select the 'READ' function. The Genius will automatically identify your bike and save a permanent copy of your original factory map. This step is safe, required, and ensures you can always revert to stock.

02. 

Transfer the File: Once the read is complete, unplug the Genius and connect it to your computer via the supplied USB cable.

Upload the Stock File: Locate the file you just read (the stock map) and email this file to our tuning team ecu@factorysuperbike.com

Receive Your Tune: Our team will modify your stock file with the performance enhancements you requested (race map, quickshifter adjustments, etc.) and email your new performance tune back to you.

03. 

Load the New File: Plug the Genius back into your computer and transfer the new race file we sent you onto the device.

Connect to Bike: Plug the Genius back into your motorcycle's OBD port and turn the ignition ON.

Flash the ECU: Select the 'WRITE' function and choose your new performance file. The Genius will safely flash the tune to your ECU in minutes.

How Much Power Will I Gain? 

The BMW Platform is incredibly consistent and we have seen gains can often exceed +15 WHP, in the midrange you will gain upwards of 35HP

Why Do different Dyno's Read Different HP Ratings

Different dynos always produce different absolute horsepower & Torque numbers. Due to factors like the type of dyno (Inertia vs. Load), environmental correction factors including temperature, humidity and added correction factors. 
 

THE TAKEAWAY: We have seen 200+hp to 198Hp depending on the dyno, elevation and other influencing factors. We guarantee a massive increase in usable mid-range torque and peak power with better corner exits, better traction controls, and ridability. 

Will I void my warranty with a tune?

No you will not void the warranty.  You can flash the bike back to stock any time you want. 

Can I retune if I make changes to the bike?

Yes, we can quickly handle changes for engine builds, added parts or any need you may have.
